Her Prophetic and Apostolic assignment calls her to raise up and equip leaders with the knowledge of Jesus Christ bringing about empowerment found only in God's Word!

Lavonia is the youngest child of the late Sam & Charsetta Hicks of Grapeland and Dallas, Texas. She was born and raised in both Grand Prairie and Dallas, Texas. Lavonia has 11 siblings (6 are deceased); living siblings are: Etta, Reuben & Sammie Mae of California; Margaret and Charlene of Texas.

Lavonia was raised in the St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, Texas. She moved to Dallas, Texas and became a member of the New Morning Star Baptist Church. She later moved her membership to the Bethlehem Pentecostal Holiness Church in Dallas, TX.

Upon Moving back to Grand Prairie, Texas she became a member of the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, where she was Licensed & Ordained as a Gospel Preacher by Pastor: Rev. C. L. Taylor.
